Carpenter Hill Vineyard sits on 928 Carpenter Hill Road in Medford, where the Rogue Valley's dry, sun-drenched climate gives our grapes the kind of stress that produces extraordinary fruit.
We are a family-owned vineyard and tasting room, dedicated to crafting wines that express the unique character of this place — the mineral-rich soils, the wide temperature swings between day and night, the long, gentle ripening season that only southern Oregon can provide.
Every bottle we produce is a conversation between the land and the vintner's restraint. We believe the best wine is made in the vineyard first, and then simply allowed to become itself in the barrel and the bottle.
From our vines to your glass
Each varietal is grown with intention and vinified with patience. Our current release list reflects the character of this growing season and the terroir we call home.
Merlot
Dark cherry, cocoa, and a whisper of cedar. Silky tannins and a finish that lingers like the evening sun on the hillside.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Blackcurrant, espresso, and dried herb. Structured and serious, with the warmth of the Rogue Valley in every sip.
Syrah
Blackberry, smoked meat, and violet. Our most expressive bottling — a wine that tastes of this specific hillside.
Chardonnay
Green apple, lemon zest, and a touch of brioche from barrel aging. Crisp yet rounded, a wine for quiet afternoons.
